IEA Team
Interscholastic Equestrian Association
T & J Training is home to a very successful Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) team. This program is available to 4th-12th grade students around the country, with our local Zone being Central New Jersey. Competitions occur between 4-6 weekends a year from September through December. Our team annually hosts a large show in early autumn at the barn. Qualified riders will compete at Regionals in February, Zones in March, and Nationals in April.
The goals of IEA are to set standards for competition, provide information concerning the creation and development of school associated equestrian sport programs, promote the common interests of safe riding instruction and competition and education on matters related to equestrian sport at the middle and secondary school levels (grades 4-12). Through the IEA, students have the opportunity to earn scholarships towards their college education through awards in competition and through sportsmanship activities.

Here at T & J Training we are focused on not only creating a memorable experience, but an enjoyable one. No matter your horseback riding ability, we look to create the most positive, safe, and enjoyable experience for each rider at our riding center.
When it comes to your riding sessions, owners and instructors, Tara Reilly and Jack Reilly, provide quality horsemanship lessons designed to enhance each individual rider’s understanding and skills. Tailoring their program to meet the specific needs and requests of their riders, they are able to teach effective techniques and methods. Committed to helping each rider achieve his or her personal goals, our instructors are dedicated to our riders’ success.

See us in the news: 2024 Ocean County 4-H Fair!
As the home barn of the Ocean County 4H Saddle Squad, T & J Training participates in a variety of shows and educational events and clincis sponsered by the NJ 4-H Horse Program.
T & J also offers local competition opportunities for riders at all levels and disciplines. Horse shows provide an excellent way for riders to test their progress and abilities while also challenging and encouraging them to progress as well-rounded horsemen and horsewomen.
